To tell my kids

I am strong
I am smart
I am respectful
I try new things
Mistakes are opportunities to learn
If I fall, I get back up because I am resilient
I am not better than anyone else, no one else is better than me

To sustain myself in Christ

1. Solitude and silence
To look up: Ruth Hailey Barton (author)
At the very core of all my needs is God. His relationship will satisfy me.

2. The Word
If you know him better, you will understand more

Jesus' ministry was not his mission. His mission was listening to God's will, making himself available to help others. He took the time out.

Let God renew you!

Zeke on spreading the gospel in the hospital

Yeah the Bible talks about doing both  "In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father." (Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ NIV)

But also "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”" (‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭14-15‬ NIV)

見習/實習 are full of wonderful opportunities to share with classmates, nurses, patients, patients families, doctors, and even janitors [Joyful]

So Matthew 5 talks about representing Christ through actions. But at the same time Romans 10 talks about the need to share with everyone.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. (‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭23-24‬ NIV)

And then Colossians and 1 Corinthians 10:31 talk about studying/working hard and excelling as a student. But for the reason of serving God.

Haha sorry if I sound like I'm preaching to you Sarah. Just knowing you're at 航天 makes me excited because that was my mission field for two years and I was doing it all alone. I just hope to be a source of encouragement to you, sister! [Joyful]

Cornerstone

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus' name

Christ alone; cornerstone
Weak made strong; in the Saviour's love
Through the storm, He is Lord, Lord of all

When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil

When He shall come with trumpet sound
Oh, may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless stand before the throne

- Cornerstone, Hillsong Worship

We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 6:19-20

Thus says the Lord God, "Behold, I am the One who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation."
Isaiah 28:16

Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: 'The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes'?"
Matthew 21:42, quoting Psalm 118:22

You are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the spirit.
Ephesians 2:19-22
