My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus' name
Christ alone; cornerstone
Weak made strong; in the Saviour's love
Through the storm, He is Lord, Lord of all
When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
When He shall come with trumpet sound
Oh, may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless stand before the throne
- Cornerstone, Hillsong Worship
We have this as a sure and steadfast
anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the
curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 6:19-20
Thus says the Lord God, "Behold, I am the One who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious
cornerstone, of a sure foundation."
Isaiah 28:16
Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: 'The stone that the builders rejected has become the
cornerstone; this was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes'?"
Matthew 21:42, quoting Psalm 118:22
You are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the
cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the spirit.
Ephesians 2:19-22
