Darlene: Humanly speaking our behaviour changes as we mature... would our behaviour change with spiritual mature? So what should we be seeing in a maturing person?
Lavinia: I think definitely a spiritually mature person will be more self-controlled and not act upon fleshly impulses. I was just thinking about that verse in 1 Timothy (?) about God giving us a spirit of discipline. The Holy Spirit teaches us wisdom, and part of that wisdom is controlling our tongue and our anger. This is also human maturity, I think.
More specifically in terms of behaviour, we should be seeing in spiritual people a quickness to forgive, to love, and to serve. I think a spiritual person will exhibit the fruits of the spirit and show Christ's self-sacrifice love to others. She should be patient, kind, slow to anger meek, wise and more.

Our Prayer, from The Color Purple
When I lay me down to sleep
I will say my prayer
That God love me so deep
He will promise our souls to keep
Together
I'll say a prayer
I will say my prayer
That God love me so deep
He will promise our souls to keep
Together
I'll say a prayer

I believe
I believe in Christianity as I believe the sun has risen:
not because I see it but because by it, I see everything else.
